My Favourite Books

I have been a bookclub member and/or organiser since 2008.

I find it difficult to make lists of my favourite books as there are so many.

Recently I read After Story  by Larissa Behrendt  and loved the idea and the presentation of her trip to England and her travels to homes of famous and favourite writers. It was a travel diary with different plots that were developed and relationships that were examined so well executed.

My favourite author is Kate Morton because she writes great mysteries with great plots. Agatha Christie’s books are much valued by me for humour as well as the mystery and her great understanding of human nature. I also love Jane Austen and have read most of her books more than once.

Holidays

I have been relaxing at home enjoying other friends trips by following their progress on Facebook.

I have so much enjoyed my sisters month long visit from Melbourne To Darwin and all the places she has stayed by having nightly catch up calls about her daily travels and activities.

In my mind I have revisited all of the following places with her Coober Pedy Alice Springs Tennant Creek Katherine Litchfield Park Bees Creek Darwin Kakadu Devils Marbles Ti Tree Port Augusta The memories of these places for me were wonderful and very moving as we once lived for 2 years in the NT and loved it there.

Simultaneously I have followed a friend on her trip from Melbourne to the Tip of Australia  on her Facebook posts and feel I have actually done this trip myself now. Such an easy way to travel Australia without the fuss of moving from my home at all.

Many thanks to my sister and my friend for sharing their trips with me
